 The Rift:
The Rift was what was left behind after the gateway between Germany and Amerstris was destroyed. Though it had lay dormant for over two years, the rift has started to steer and not in a good way. Having a mind of it's own, the rift has started to randomly choose people from both sides of the rift and has thrust them into the opposite world. The rift, though uncontrollable and chaotic, has one thing that can stand against it and the is a homunculi named Irony.
Irony:
Irony is a Homunculi that was created a little over two years ago. This Homunculi has the ability to stabilize the rift between Amerstris and Germany. Though this is true, Irony doesn't fully understand her power and sometimes can't do much to stop the rift from thrusting people into their opposite world. Though this is true, Irony can push and pull people through the rift if she knows their face. Though Irony is a Homunculi, it is unsure if Dante knows of her existences or not. Knowing or not, Irony's patron is none other then the new Greed. Having found her and knowing that she was a Homunculi, Greed has kept her as his on little pet.
Dante:
Dante managed to throw her soul from the body she was in before she was eaten and has found herself a new body. Living the last five years rebuilding her strength and hiding from the eyes of the military, Dante has slowly started to collect new sins to take the place of the old ones. Her hatred and need to reach her goal has not ebbed sense the battle with the Elrics and she still plans to keep running forward. Though all of the homunculi she has collected so far are new. Dante's Envy still remains the same.
Military:
Amerstris has been rather calm as of late and the military still stands strong as the nations government and protection against Amerstris' neighboring nations. Though leadership of this nation has been changed from furher to elected president, the new president that was elected to lead the nation has died form a heart attack and a new election is being held for who will take his place. Two of the top nominees for president are General Olivia Armstrong and newly promoted General Roy Mustang. Tell such time as a new president is elected, Olivia Armstrong has taken on the role of leader so that the nation won't fall apart around them.
Though things have been rather calm at Amerstris, word of new threat is going around. This threat is a organization only known by one thing, The Saints. Though no one knows what the people in this organization look like at this point, their deeds resound though out the military.
The Saints:
The Saints are a new organization of Homunculi ran by a man named Cain Eden who goes by Virtue. This small organization was created to wipe out the evil of the world. Their goal is to make Amerstris a Utopian world. All of the members of this organization are named after the virtues and they all have very mysterious powers. Though this organization was created to form a Utopian world, The Saint's are very strict and have no patents for those that get in their way. They are not afraid to stain their own hands with blood to achieve their goals.
The Elrics:
While this is all happening in Amerstris, Edward and Alphonse had no clue what was going on on the other side of the rift or what is going on with the rift itself. Having lived in Germany for two whole years, Ed and Al have started getting used to life there. Of course, this was easier for Ed seeing as he had lived there three years before. But with his help, Al had quickly caught on to life there. Not long after starting their second year in Germany together, news of people mysteriously disappearing without a trace or close to where they have gone. Finding this very suspicious Edward started to look into the disappearances and, even with the help of his brother, found nothing.
Unable to explain this phenomenon, Edward continued to research it, but it wasn't very long at all before he realized what was going on. It was when he and his brother had started looking into another disappearance when something all together strange happened. With a bright flash of light, Edward and Alphonse disappeared from where they had been standing only moments ago. But they didn't remain gone for long. With another flash, Edward and Alphonse found themselves falling to the ground. Hitting the ground, Edward and Alphonse looked around to see a very familiar landscape around them. The fields of Resembool and the Rockbell house near by.
Now, with the rift is pulling people around like rag dolls, Dante returning, the rise of a new utopia seeking organization, and the return of the Elric brothers. What will become of Amestris' future? Will the people of Amestris remember and learn from the past or will they make the same mistakes again and bring Germany down with them.
