so when the lights go out you better crack the door, everyone's waiting singing "ay bay bay! young love is fleeting".
but you think that love is just a pretty lie.
i'm trying to keep you in line, but the city's saying "oh darling, you're mine".
and your smile says you've got it together but your eyes are telling me it's not true.
Caden sat in the back of the club, wondering what the hell he was doing there. Caden hated clubs. They were always full of people doing stupid things. Caden had never been into the whole party scene, but tonght, he just wanted the fuzziness that the flashing lights and pounding music could bring.[/size]
He didn't drink. Caden was very very careful to never lose control of any situation he was in. Not since Drew had died. All his fault. Caden pushed the thoughts away, he didn't need them. It would always weigh heavy on his shoulders. He knew how he must look, sitting moodily in the back as bodies of hormone driven teens swayed past. Caden was the mystery in the corner, but it was attention that he didn't want.
He glanced down at the sparkling water in his hand. He didn't want it, but it was better than sitting, doing nothing. Caden closed his eyes and sighed. He shouldn't have come here, this was not what he wanted, but since when had he gotten anything he wanted? The music was drilling into his head. His natural musical ability recording every note. He could sit and write out every little peice of every song he'd heard that evening, but who cared?
Caden wondered if he should leave, but leaving meant he would have to wander back to his apartment, where he would end up trapped in another nightmare. He didn't think he could handle another one of those today, so he sat, the mystery boy in the corner. A title that he didn't want, because even that, gave him too much attention.
