just calm down,
the trauma's on the inside,
my line's been drawn.
i don't want to be wasting time. Stelle pushed open the door to the pizza place, grinning at the smell that hit her. She was used to getting a lot of looks, she knew she was beautiful. But the looks from the people in the pizza place were different, and she knew why. A girl that looked like her, was not the sort of person who you'd expect to see in a place that served fatty food.
Stelle had never cared about what she ate. She was one of those people who was just naturally thin. Others girls hated her for it. Stelle didn't think she'd stop eating what she wanted even if she was fat. Why make yourself miserable to make yourself a few pounds lighter. No reason that she could see.
She stepped up to the counter and ordered a large cheese pizza. She could probably eat the whole thing herself, without leftovers. In fact she was sure she could. She turned and sat on one of the plastic seats, waiting for her pizza. bored. outfit: www.polyvore.com/stelle_outfit/set?id=10663632http://www.polyvore.com/stelle_outfit/set?id=10663632

Dominic brushed his hair out of his face, breathing out heavily and looking around the streets. He'd had a late shift at the bar the night before, as usual, and he'd had a few drinks with pals afterwards too. Okay, so more than just a few. He had a hangover but it wasn't a total bitch aching in his head. He was just tired and it showed. He'd bet that his friends weren't even out of bed yet. They were probably recovering until that very night, where they'd all hit the club again.
Dominic was wearing jeans that didn't hang too low and a loose, light blue shirt. It wasn't his usual wear, but hey, he hadn't bought it. When Dominic reached the pizza shack he pushed the door open, only to end up holding it for a woman and her kids as they all jumped out. One of the kids, probably two or so, knocked into Dominic's leg but with a shy apology, ran off. Dominic grinned, looking more alive. He walked into the fast food restaurant, letting the door close subtly behind him.
When he first walked in, it didn't look too busy. There were a few people here and there surprisingly. Where was everyone for lunch? One person attracted his attention, and Dominic looked openly, his blue eyes drinking in the sight of her curves. Then his eyes flicked up to her face, his grin turning into a lopsided smile. Turning on the charm.
Dominic walked her by, heading to the counter and ordering a drink as well as a Hawaiian with some extra toppings. Once he'd payed, he took the receipt from the guy behind the counter, folding it up and putting it in his back pocket when he turned. Once again he saw her.
Hello.
He smiled again.
This seat taken?
He asked, standing alongside her, rather confident-looking.

Stelle sighed and leaned back in the seat, trying to get comfortable. She loved this place, even if the seating sucked. The smell of greasy pizza made her smile. The door swung open, she could tell by the breeze, but she didn't look up at first, too preoccupied with wondering if she should have worn the pink zebra stripe belt instead of the black music note one. Too late to change now, she thought as she glanced up.
Her turquoise eyes narrowed in on the boy who had entered. Mmmm... He looked a little tired, but still yummy. Well she wasn't going to chase him, she was the girl who let the boys come to her. Still, she wasn't at all surprised when he appeared by her seat after ordering. She smiled, happy to let him sit with her, Hey, it's free. she couldn't help, but let her genuine grin slide over her lips. She had always loved people, loved attention, it made her feel like she could just float. She tapped her black and pink nails on the table top, right as they called her name. Be right back, She jumped up and floated to the counter. She hoisted the large pizza up and carried it back to the table. She grinned and dropped it on the table. It took up a lot of room. I have a large appetite. She explained, waving at the giant pizza, before taking a big happy bite, sighing.[/blockquote]

Taking his cue to sit down, Dominic relaxed in the chair, although he glanced over towards the counter when out of the corner of his eye, he saw the cashier holding a large plate. He looked back to the girl as she excused herself. He nodded politely, waiting as she fetched the pizza and came back with it before he'd even offered to fetch it for her. Holy shit. Ran through his mind as she brought back the pizza.
Half of Italy's supply of pizza. All on one plate.
Grinning, Dominic shifted in his chair, facing her now rather than sitting sideways on his chair. This girl wasn't an imitation of Twiggy, in fact, he couldn't help himself but take a real good look at her when she had gotten up. There was no denying that she had it - sexy as hell. Dominic's hair was a bit long, covering his forehead almost entirely and just brushing over his eyebrows. Sure, it was a bit messy, but it wasn't totally out of control. What did Lizzie call it? His "naughty hair". Dominic had a bad habit of taking girls for a spin, you know, a one night sort of thing. Maybe hanging out with them afterwards but it was all for the "benefits" of friendship. Love? Fictional. He'd never experienced it and apparently didn't want to try.
Ha. That's my order.
Dominic got up, heading over to the counter and retrieving his pizza and drink, setting it down on the table where he could find space. It looked pretty funny. With a lopsided grin, Dominic sat back down on his chair.
Oh, name's Dominic.
He introduced himself, watching her gobble up her pizza amusedly.

Stelle thought that the first bite of pizza was like pure heaven, oily artery clogging heaven. Perfection. Her best friend had once told her that boys didn't like girls who ate a lot. Well, Stelle had never had any issues in that area, so she wasn't concerned about that. She took a sip of soda to wash down the greasy pizza, sugar, have to love it.
Stelle raised her eyebrows as the boy returned with his pizza, no way it was gonna fit on the table very well. She repressed a laugh, they looked ridiculous, not that she had ever cared about stuff like that.
I'm Stelle. she rolled her eyes, I think my parents were on drugs when they named me.
She studied Dominic across the little table from her. She'd known boys like him before, they didn't tend to be boyfriend material, not that she would count him out immediately, but she had never been the one-night sort of girl. She thought girls like that were cheap. She wouldn't settle, not ever. So he could be as hot as he wanted to be, she wasn't going to go jump in bed with him, but that didn't mean she wouldn't give him a chance. [/blockquote]

When she spoke next, Dominic got a name off of her - no hassles. Easy enough. But she didn't look like the "type" he was usually running after. By "type" I mean the kind of girl who's got a short skirt on and easy to talk into the next empty room. The kind that's ready to be with anywhere on the word 'go'. Stelle? No. She looked like she wanted more. Would Dominic mind? He wasn't totally void of a history of girlfriends. I mean, they were few and far between but they happened.
Probably.
He teased, his eyes still on her.
It isn't that bad.
A smile settled on his lips before he lifted up a slice and gobbled up a large bite off of it. Cheesy goodness. Nothing like pizza for a hangover.
What name would you have picked if it wasn't Stelle?
Dominic asked, his blue eyes casually settled on her. His entire body language showed what kind of guy he was: down to earth. Even with a hangover.

((Sorry I've been gone so long! My grandfather died and things have been really crazy around my house!)) Stelle wondered if he could read her type. She guessed he probably could. Girls who were as uninhibited as her, didn't usually need a boy to make them feel good. Or, at least that was her opinion. She had never felt any need to have a boyfriend, to show that she could get boys. Stelle was confident in her own skin and she thought that might be one of the reasons boys went after her so much. Mmmm..... I do my best to own it.
Stelle leaned back considering the question. What name would she have wanted. Shay. she answered, finally. She had always liked that name.
And you? [/blockquote]

Dominic took another bite out of his slice, finishing it off without realizing he had eaten that much. Well, it just showed you could get lost staring into those eyes of hers. He couldn't decide what impression they gave - sexy, but back off kind of look? Hm...that could be it. But it didn't exactly look like Dominic was backing off. Sure, his charm usually worked but sometimes he had to put in a little extra effort.
When he got her question, Dominic paused, stretching with his hands on the back of his neck then relaxing again, his hands resting on his knees.
Jake or Shaun. Anything's better than Dom.
He joked, smiling a bit. His eyes still seemed a bit dull, but then again, wouldn't you feel like shit with a hangover too? I can't imagine calling you Shay.
Dominic finally said, his brow furrowing together a bit but he still had that open, friendly face.
Maybe Cassie.
He added, looking a bit like the goof he was but he tried not to let down his charm too much. Not his guard, his charm.

Stelle studied Dom, wondering why she wasn't running away. It wasn't that she was afraid of anything. It was just... He was so obviously the sort of boy she tended to avoid. She could tell he wasn't really the girlfriend type of guy and she wanted that sort of guy, but something was keeping her there.
Stelle polished off another slice of pizza before folding herself up in her seat, bringing her feet up on the edge, wrapping her arms around her legs, and resting her chin on her knees.
I don't see anything wrong with the name Dom. I mean, you aren't named after celestial bodies in a whole frickin different language. She pointed out, grinning.
Stelle shivered for a moment, she thought that maybe she was right under the air-conditioning vent, because she was little cold and that wasn't normal. She was cold, wasn't she?
Cassie? Stelle felt a grin light up her face, too bad to explain it would mean revealing that she was a tiny bit of a dork, but she supposed that couldn't really be helped. Cassie is derived from the English name Cassandra, which means 'to shine' like the stars... which is what Stelle means in Italian, stars, I mean. It's funny that you would pick that, maybe my parents get it too wrong after all...
